Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives and Thermo Fisher Scientific Announce Sponsorship Agreement for Worcester-Based Incubator
The agreement establishes the Thermo Fisher Scientific Instrument Suite at MBI’s Briden Street location, which will be furnished with advanced research equipment, including a qPCR system, fluorescence imaging system and a plate reader, along with supply centers and technical support. Having access to such resources will enable MBI’s incubator tenants to accelerate R&D, produce high-quality data and results and advance progress toward their scientific goals.

"We like to say we have ‘Woomentum’ and I think the city is at a pretty exciting time," he said. "It’s just not going to be possible to contain the industry sustainably within I-95. It’s already at (Interstate) 495, it’s now in Worcester, and frankly as it continues to grow there’s going to be more need for Worcester to provide more space. The city’s on fire."
