Shobha Parthasarathi, Ph.D.

Shobha Parthasarathi, Clerk of MBI’s Board of Trustees, is the founder of Intovis, a strategic life sciences consulting group. She collaborates closely with scientific founders and entrepreneurs, engaging with the external innovation ecosystem. Previously, she worked at Xontogeny as an Advisor and was Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Business Development at Harrington Discovery Institute, where she advanced numerous drug discovery programs and managed an investment portfolio of startups. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Business Development at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where she evaluated and managed early-stage life science startups. Shobha began her career as a scientist in drug discovery at Takeda Oncology (Millennium Pharmaceuticals).

With a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Rutgers, she brings 25 years of experience in research, business development, strategic partnerships, and venture investing. Her career includes contributions to FDA drug approvals, marketed products, company acquisitions, and IPOs. Shobha has a well-established global network across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, foundations, and investors.
